Boat Rental Policy

We do not reserve boats. All boats are rented on first come first served basis. Rentals are for a minimum of one hour. Rentals beyond one hour are charged ¼ rate for each 15 minutes beyond one hour. Only persons 18 or over are permitted to rent any boat with a motor. Anyone younger than 16 must have someone 18 or older sign for them. They can be in a separate boat but the 18-year-old must be on the lake with them at all times. Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards can be paddled solo by anyone 10+, provided someone 18+ is on the water with them the entire time. Capacity of the boats is by total weight of passengers or total number of people, whichever is least. Capacity requirements are set by a Coast Guard formula and used by the boat manufacturer.  They are hard fast rules. Maximum people cannot be exceeded regardless of weight. A baby or child is counted as 1 person. Personal Floatation Devices (aka life jackets) must be worn at all times when on the water. NO EXCEPTIONS. We allow pets and do not add them to the capacity count. If we suspect someone is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we will refuse to rent them and /or their group a boat.
